ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
All staff shall be suitably trained for their job function in the operating standards for the premises.
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
A CCTV system shall be installed, recording and maintained in working order at the premises. The CCTV equipment shall be of a standard suitable to record images of a proper quality. The CCTV system shall be regularly serviced by qualified maintenance technicians.
Suitable signage shall be displayed at the premises advising customers that CCTV is in operation.
The CCTV system shall be capable of downloading images to a recognisable viewable format. Access to the CCTV system shall be provided to Police Officers at their request where reasonable and lawful.
A Staffsafe™ system (or similar system) with both audio and visual monitoring capability shall be installed in the premises - the system shall be activated by either fixed or mobile panic buttons. Once activated the system shall link the premises to an external monitoring centre capable of intervening to resolve crime and disorder issues and/or provide the appropriate advice or instruction to support and protect premises’ staff and customers.
All shift managers at the premise shall receive appropriate safety and security training; including conflict management training.
Public Safety
The premises shall have appropriate safety systems in place to protect the safety of customers and staff at all times.
The premises shall operate a "No Open Alcohol Containers" policy to prevent persons carrying open alcohol into the in-store area.
Drinks or food shall not be served to customers in glass receptacles.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
Where appropriate, packaging, used at the premises, shall display the recycle symbol in order to encourage customers to deal with their waste responsibly.
All restaurant doors at the premises shall be self-closing.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that customers are encouraged to be considerate to local residents and businesses and to limit noise both when ordering their food and on leaving the local area.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that litter patrols are carried out in order collect both McDonald’s packaging and any other litter that has been discarded in the vicinity of the premises. The premises licence holder shall act on any reasonable recommendations from the Environmental Health Department should they feel that that the litter patrol should be extended to a nearby area - as far as this is reasonably practicable.
